In this collaborative webinar with Greenlite, we discuss how CFD can be employed to calculate accurate wind pressure coefficients on a high-rise residential building, and then imported into IES and thermal modeling software tools for more realistic ventilation and overheating studies.

The webinar highlights the key differences between thermal modeling and CFD and explains how they can be used together to optimize building performance early in the design stage, as well as for compliance calculations such as TM59.

Greenlite Building Physics help design teams achieve thermally comfortable, energy-efficient buildings. To do this, we use detailed computational models. A significant proportion of our work involves establishing suitable balances between operational energy demand, thermal comfort and capital expenditure. Our design inputs help design teams evaluate risks, design out problems and optimise their design strategy. Services include summertime overheating risk assessments, HVAC systems sizing calculations, daylight modelling and building regulations compliance.
